Default Carpet help with PT!

What have you all used for pee/poo while potty training? I started to pt my 27 month old and have been using simple green (that's the only thing I have right now) for accidents. What else have you found that works well for the stain/smell?

Bac-out helps a lot, or anything for pet stains would probably work well too. Eventually though, I had to just break down and get the carpet cleaners out here because DD's room started to smell like a hamster cage. She had been having accidents on the carpet, and had even peed on the floor several times to protest being sent to her room, and if you don't catch it right away, it's much harder to get rid of. Whatever they used had a peppermint fragrance, and several months later, the hamster smell is still gone.

Thanks girls! I will look into getting some...I think my whole foods carries it. We used to use Nature's miracle for our dog stains and that worked pretty well. And we already own a steam cleaner but I didn't want to whip that out for every accident.

Our vet told us to spray the carpet with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda when our cat had a pee problem. Let it dry and then vacuum it up. It removes the stain and the smell right away. I've also used it on a mattress from human urine, and it worked great! Good luck to you- I hate urine stains!!!!

I heard vinegar water and have always used that with success for pee, but not so much for poop.
